According to Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon, Reginald Robins, 26, of N Wilson Street was arrested after authorities in Lake Charles received information through Crime Stoppers of his whereabouts.
Robbins allegedly dragged a woman from her vehicle while it was stopped at a traffic light in Church Point Friday.
Authorities said he took her to a remote location, raped her and fled.
He is charged with simple kidnapping and rape.
Authorities did not say if Robbins' alleged victim knew him.
