Crowley teen dies of collision injuries, other driver, allegedly drunk, charged

CROWLEY – An allegedly drunk driver faces vehicular homicide charges in an Aug. 12 accident.

Tyson Dupuis, 34, was initially charged with DUI 2nd offense, reckless operation and hit & run after a 2:45 accident.

The driver of the vehicle that Dupuis’ vehicle hit at 2:45 a.m., Michelle Romero, 18, of Crowley, subsequently died.

The collision happened at South Eastern Ave. and Pine Street.

Dupuis, free on bond at the time, was re-arrested on the homicide count.
