NEW IBERIA — Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Donald Joseph “Donnie” Comeaux, 70, who passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012 in New Iberia.
Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., in New Iberia.
Born on August 4, 1941, Mr. Comeaux worked in the oilfield for over 36 years. A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, he enjoyed reading, painting, American History and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Exie Oller Comeaux of New Iberia; daughters, Paul Latiolais, Mona Comeaux and Debra Clement, all of New Iberia; brothers, John “Red” Comeaux and wife, Patsy, of Centerville; Gerald Comeaux and wife, Bobbie, of Centerville; Ronald Comeaux and his wife, Norita, of Jeanerette; and Charles “Coonie” Comeaux and wife, Ernie, of Morgan City; sisters, Peggy Adams and husband, Donald, of Broussard; Rita Comeaux of Broussard; Patsy Thibodeaux and husband, Jim, of Franklin; grandchildren, Brandi Latiolais Soileau and husband, Brandon, of Lake Charles; Jacob Latiolais, Kyle Latiolais, Stefen Clement and Shelby Clement, all of New Iberia; great granddaughter, Hallie Soileau of Lake Charles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lena Hebert Comeaux; brother, Richard Comeaux; great granddaughter, Avery Kate Soileau.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Comeaux, Wayne Manuel, Jay Oller, John “Red” Comeaux, Charles “Coonie” Comeaux and Ronald Comeaux.
