DOTD announces intermittent lane closures on U.S. 90 for bridge repair

\AMELIA, La. -- Beginning Tuesday, U.S. 90 at Bayou Ramos Bridge in St. Mary Parish will have intermittent lane closures in the east and westbound directions in order for crews to perform repairs to the bridge, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced.

Work will be performed during daylight hours and is estimated to last for approximately six months.

Until repaired, DOTD will continue to limit the bridge structure to vehicular traffic and truck traffic that fall within the specified weight restriction of 15 to 25 tons.

The detour for trucks traveling westbound will include U.S. 90 to Lake Palourde Bypass Road (Exit 181) to La. 182 to U.S. 90. The detour for trucks traveling eastbound will consist of U.S. 90 to La. 182 (Morgan City Exit) to Lake Palourde Bypass Road to U.S. 90.
