LORANGER – Services will be Tuesdayfor quarterhorse breeder Gerald L. Averett, Sr,. He died Nov. 25 at age 79.
A dairyman, he was also owner of Averett Dirt Pit and Louisiana Bred Race Horses. He was on the board of numerous organizations including the state Quarter Horse Assn. and the Federal Land Bank.
Survivors include his wife Margie and two sons.

Former sergeant at arms
BATON ROUGE – Services will be Tuesdayt for retired Louisiana House Sergeant at Arms Manch Caldwallader, Jr. He died Nov. 26 at age 65.
Survivors include his wife Marvis and a son.

BREAUX BRIDGE – Services will be Wednesday for former auto dealership owner and civic leader John “Boysie” Martin, Sr. He died Nov. 26 at age 85.
He was owner/dealer of Domingues Motors, which was renamed Martin Chevrolet in 1983. He sold the business to his son on retirement.
He was a member of St. Martin Parish Hospital Service Dist. No. 2.
Survivors include his wife Evelyn; a son and two daughters.

Fixed Base Operator
MONROE – Services will be Tuesday for aviation businessman Russell Fleeman. He died Nov. 26 at age 93.
A former car dealership owner, he also owned and organized the Miss Louisiana Pageant. His Fleeman Flying Service, now Fleeman Aviatin, was one of the premier Fixed Base Operators in the country.
Fleeman was instrumental in formation of the aviation degree program at Northeast and Louisiana Tech universities.
He was a member of the board of American Bank for many years and on the advisory board of Regions Bank.
Survivors include a son.
