ALEXANDRIA – Services for former president of the La. State Board of Nursing Dr. Oswald Ferry will be Friday. He died Dec. 27 at age 76.
He was a nurse anesthetist and clinical nurse specialist and a retired colonel from the U.S. Army Nurse Corps. He was a 12-year member of the State Board and was president six years. He CEO/Administrator of Dubuis Hospital and chair of the Division of Nursing at Louisiana College.
Survivors include his wife Joan, a son and two daughters.
Arrangements are by Trahan.
Long-time alderman
EVERGREEN – Services for vo-ag teacher and longtime town official Raymond Ducote will be Saturday. He died Dec. 28 at age 83.
He was an Avoyelles Parish teacher for more than 30 years and was a member of the Evergreen Town Council for 27 years and chief of the volunteer fire department.
Survivors include his wife Amanda and five children.
