BATON ROUGE – Services are Tuesday for former state surplus property agent Justin Smith, Sr. He died March 16 at age 91.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and retired assistant director of the Louisiana State Surplus Property Agency.
Survivors include two sons and two daughters.
Arrangements are by Rabenhorst.
Former medical staff president
NEW ORLEANS – Services for retired internist Dr. Kenneth Nix, Sr. will be Wednesday. He died March 17 at age 88.
He was former chief medical resident at Charity Hospital and former president of the medical staff at Baptist Hospital. He was also a member of the clinical faculty at LSU School of Medicine and a practicing physician for 40 years.
Survivors include his wife Kathryn, three sons and a daughter.
