HOMER – Services for retired United Methoidst minister the Rev. James Humphries will be Tuesday. He died Nov. 10 at age 75.
He begin pastoring in the Louisiana United Methodist Conference in 1963. His appointments included churches in Baton Rouge, Haughton, Bethel, Ruston, Opelousas, Lake Charles and Homer.
Survivors include his wife Martha, a son and a daughter.
Arrangements are by Rose-Neath.
Baptist minister
SLIDELL – Services for retired Baptist minister Dr. Hoyte Nelson were Sunday. He died Nov. 9 at age 90.
He was a US. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He pastored First Baptist Church of Slidell for 17 years.
Survivors include four children.
Arrangements were by Honaker.
