Former teacher, LSU cheerleader

BATON ROUGE – Services for long-time teacher and former LSU cheerleader Dr. Nancy Eversberg will be Wednesday. She died Nov. 25 at age 78.

She held three degrees including her Ph.D. from LSU, where she was a cheerleader in 1952-1954. She taught at several elementary and secondary schools and was the La. Teachers Assn. state chairman of the Dept. of Elementary Language Arts.

Survivors include a daughter.

Arrangements are by Greenoaks.

LSU professor

PRAIRIEVILLE – Services for LSU professor Ronald Sheffield will be Wednesday. He died Nov. 24 at age 42.

He was a professor in the LSU Dept. of Biological and Agricultural Engineering and LSU AgCenter. He previously worked for the Extension Service at the University of Idaho and North Carolina State University.

Survivors include his wife Juliana and two daughters.

Arrangements are by Rabenhorst.
