BATON ROUGE – Services for long-time NAACP president Washington Eames, Jr. will be Saturday. He died Dec. 8 at age 79.
He was president of the Baton Rouge chapter for more than 20 years, during which desegregation occurred in public schools and other public and private facilities.
Survivors include his wife Theresa and a son.
Arrangements are by Resthaven.
Life insurance exec, ex-parish official
LAFAYETTE – Services for life insurance executive and former police juror and parish councilman Harold Domingue, Sr. will be Saturday. He died Dec. 12 at age 77.
He was a vice president of Washington Life. He served a total of 21 years as a police juror and as chairman of the first Lafayette Parish Council. He was a former commissioner of the Heymann Performing Arts Center and Frem F. Boustany Convention Center and was first chairman of the Juvenile Detention Home.
He was former president of the Greater Southwest Louisiana Mardi Gras Association and funded the Little League baseball and football programs in North Lafayette.
Survivors include his wife Macklyn, five sons and two daughters.

Former DOE official, school board member
GLENMORA – Services for former educator and School Board member Kenneth Doyle will be Saturday. He died Dec. 12 at age 83.
He taught at Central High in Baton Rouge before becoming a supervisor and administrator for the La. Dept. of Education. He was former member of the Rapides Parish School Board.
Survivors include a step-son.
Arrangements are by Rush, Oakdale.
Long-time highway commissioner, school board member
COLFAX – Services for former State Highway Commission and School Board member Bobby Deen will be Saturday. He died Dec. 11.
He was a highway commissioner from 1972 until 2012, and was a member and president of the Grant Parish School Board.
Survivors include his wife Yvonne and four children.
Arrangements are by Blanchard-St. Denis.
Physician, professor
NEW ORLEANS – Services for retired LSU Medical School associate professor Dr. Cleveland Moore will be Saturday. He died Dec. 4 at age 65.
He practiced pediatrics and allergy/immunology in New York, Houston, Nashville, Mobile and St. Petersburg, Fla. before joining LSU as associate professor and head of the division of Allergy/Immunology at the medical school at at Children’s Hospital.
Survivors include his wife Beverly and three children.
