Noted musician

KERRVILLE, Texas – Services will be Saturday for noted musician Edwin “Denny” Hardy. He died Dec. 19 at age 79.

While living in Baton Rouge, La., he played saxophone with the Van Broussard and Bac Trac bands. Over the years he played with Hank Garland, The Four Freshmen, Duke Ellington and Fats Domino.

Survivors include a son and a daughter.

Arrangements are by Kerrville.

Retired state judge

SHREVEPORT – Services are Saturday for retired Judge James E. “Buck” Clark. He died Dec. 23 at age 83.

He served 19 years as a 1st Judicial District state judge. He was among the founders of the Caddo-Bossier Legal Aid Society and the Caddo Indigent Defenders Office. He was a former president of the Louisiana District Judges Association.

Survivors include a number of children and step-children.

Arrangements are by Couch.
