Former Guard director of training

MANDEVILLE– Services for retired director of operations and training for the Louisiana Guard Col. Reginald Booth will be Friday. He died Feb. 4 at age 92.

He was a US Army veteran of World War II and joined the Louisiana Guard full-time after the war.

Survivors include three sons.

Arrangements are by E.J. Fielding.

Trucking executive

ALEXANDRIA – Services for trucking executive Billy Faubion will be Thursday. He died Feb. 3 at age 73.

He was president/CEO of Faubion truck LInes and former owner of Faubion Fresh Produce Market. He was also a professional bass fisherman.

Survivors include his wife JoAnn and four children.

Arrangements are by Kramer.

Nursing director

ZACHARY – Services for former director of nursing at the Louisiana War Veterans’ Home Velma Boyd will be Thursday. She died Feb. 3 at age 86.

Her career as a registered nurse spanned five decades, working primarily at East Louisiana State Hospital in Jackson.

Survivors include three daughters.

Arrangements are by Charlet.

School architect

BATON ROUGE – Services for school architect Russell Robelot will be Friday. He died Jan. 31 at age 40.

Employed with CSRS Architects, he was instrumental in delivery of K-12 educational facilities over the last decade. He was also program manager of several school systems, including Zachary, St. John the Baptist, Jefferson Parish and Ascension Parish.

Survivors include his father Walter and two brothers.

Arrangements are by Greenwood.

Insurance exec

NEW ORLEANS – Services for insurance executive and businessman Denver Gray will be Thursday. He died Jan. 23 in Tampa, Fla at age 88.

He was a US Army Air Corps pilot during World War II. He founded Gray & Co. underwriters. Subsidiaries of the company include oil & gas holdings and exploration, tile, casualty and surety companies and other enterprises that operate in 49 states.

Survivors include three sons.
