—Nina S. Butler, 29, of Wren Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:46 a.m. Tuesday at the sheriff’s office in Morgan City on a warrant for probation violation. She remains jailed with bail not yet set.
—Trent Duhon, 17, of US 90 E, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:34 p.m. Tuesday at the parish courthouse in Franklin on a warrant for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor, possession of alcohol by a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of tobacco by a minor. He remains jailed with bail not yet set.
The following three were arrested at 2:58 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 90 in Patterson on drug charges after a traffic stop on a vehicle with several large cracks in the windshield obstructing the driver’s view:
—Brennan Foreman, 20, of Middle Road, Bayou Vista, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Diana Simmons, 49, of Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, charged with possession of synthetic cannabinoids and abuse of toxic vapors.
—Ronald Giroir Jr., 21, of Sandra Court, Morgan City, charged with possession of synthetic cannabinoids and abuse of toxic vapors.
They were released on a summons to appear in court in December.
The Patterson Police Department reported one arrest Tuesday, according to Chief Patrick M. LaSalle:
—Merrill Cormier, 37, of Main Street, Patterson, was arrested at 11:36 a.m. at the police department on a warrant from the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office for criminal neglect of family and a warrant from the St. Mary Parish sheriff for two counts of issuing worthless checks. He remains jailed pending payment of fines of $4,000 and transporting to other departments.
