Michael Wayne Ganaway, 25, of Middle Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 11:50 p.m. Thursday for disturbing the peace intoxicated, according to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert.

Hebert stated the following:

A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at Whiskey Heaven in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival the deputy received a description of a subject who was attempting to fight with bar staff. The deputy located the subject who was later identified as Ganaway, the report stated. During the investigation, the deputy observed the odor of alcohol on Ganaway’s person. Ganaway repeatedly yelled curses at the deputy and kicked the window of the patrol unit, the report stated. Ganaway was taken to the parish jail and held. His bail is set at $250.
