St. Mary Parish Gravity Sub-Drainage District 1 of Gravity Drainage District 2 is cleaning out overgrown vegetation and trash in the drainage canal that spans the length of Middle Road beginning at the pumping station on Teche Road and ending at Hwy 90 West by Oceaneering in Bayou Vista. The district hopes to be able to address erosion in the canal in the near future.
