Ducote earns national 4-H service award

BATON ROUGE — St. Mary Parish’s LSU AgCenter extension agent was among 12 agents to receive awards from the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents at the organization’s Oct. 21 to 25 annual meeting in Orlando, Fla.

Jennifer Ducote of St. Mary Parish along with Todd Fontenot of Evangeline Parish and Kali Zammit of St. Charles Parish earned Achievement in Service awards.

Distinguished Service awards went to Lauren Faust of St. Bernard Parish, Markaye Russell of Ouachita Parish and Joanna Strong of Richland Parish.

Charles Hebert of Lafayette Parish received the Meritorious Service award.

The National Excellence in Natural Resources and Environmental Education Program Team award went to Hilton and Shannan Waits of Vermilion Parish, and the Regional Excellence in Teen Programming Team award went to Elizabeth Lynn and Diane Uzzle, both of Bienville Parish, and the Bienville Parish Police Jury.

Randall Bellon, of Allen Parish received a 25 Years of Service award.
