BRYAN DUMESNIL IS the 2012 State Champion in the Lone Star Racing series. Dumesnil rode his modified 450 Honda quad to victory last weekend in Conroe, Texas, defeating Mike Walker who was in second place. Dumesnil has been in a battle for first place with Walker in second all year. But last weekend for the state champion race title, Walker was no match for Dumesnil. Ulysse Dumesnil, Bryan’s father and trainer said that his son has been training for this race all year and it paid off. He added that the bike ran great and Bryan rode the same. Bryan received $1,000 in cash and more will come at the award ceremony in Texas on Oct. 20 when the Texas Lone Star race team hands out the awards. The Dumesnil team sponsors are Scott Equipment, O’Reilly Auto, Sportsman’s Cycle Honda of Morgan City, Roberts Used Auto and Kustom Collision, Douglas Wheels and Tires, SF Racing, Leatt Neck Brace, BP Contractors and Hook It Racing. Mechanic Harold Leblanc keeps Dumesnil’s bike in top shape.
