The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Duplantis of Berwick. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Steve Landreneau of DeRidder.
For the occasion, the cathedral was highlighted by pew markers of ivory ribbon and greenery.
Readers were Kim Watson and Carla Smith, godmother of the bride.
Presenting offertory gifts were Mr. and Mrs. Duane Landreneau, godfather and aunt of the groom, and Sandra Landreneau, godmother of the groom.
Cantor was Joy Balance. Music was by organist Robbie Giroir.
Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride wore a designer gown featuring a mermaid silhouette with a sweetheart neckline and a ruched bodice with tulle embroidered lace. The semi-cathedral train was of Dupioni silk. The waistline was accentuated with an ivory belt encrusted with Swarovski crystals and pearls. On a shoe clip, her father placed a six-pence from the year of her birth. She wore her mother’s diamond pendant and wedding band, and diamond stud earrings that were a gift from her groom.
Gracing her head was a fingertip-length veil featuring ivory silk tulle edged in a silver-thread embroidered scallop of Swarovski crystals and pearls.
Her bouquet was an array of peonies and roses in corals, pinks and white interlaced with the bride’s rosary. Stems were wrapped in ivory ribbon with pearl pin accents.
Hannah-Piper Moore was maid of honor and Jacqueline LaCoste, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristin Duplantis, sister-in-law of the bride; Renee Landreneau, sister of the groom; Amy Ott and Christy Savant.
Bridal attendants wore A-line knee length dresses in a variety of styles of midnight blue Dupioni silk. They also wore pearl and crystal necklaces and earrings, a gift from the bride.
They each carried a bouquet of coral Sunset peonies wrapped in navy ribbon.
Flower girl was Landyn LaCoste, godchild of the bride. Ringbearer was Bryce Landreneau, nephew of the groom.
Stuart Landreneau was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Dean Duplantis Jr., brother of the bride, Andy Carroll, David Dussouy, Tyler Hernandez and Steve Levy.
Ushers were Chad Hebert, Rickey Johnson, Blayne McRae and Michael Thomas.
The newlyweds led guests in “second-line style” to the reception at the Camelot Club in Baton Rouge.
An array of spring-colored floral arrangements and rose petals accented the tables.
The wedding cake was a four-tiered confection in ivory buttercream frosting. Each tier was accentuated with a navy ribbon and its own icing design. Tiers were of white cake with fresh strawberries, yellow cake with chocolate doberge, and chocolate cake with Bavarian Grand Marnier filling. Finishing the confection was the couple’s monogram and a coral peonies topper.
The groom’s cake was a red velvet cake with cream cheese filling with a cartoon depiction of the LSU tiger and was adorned with chocolate-covered strawberries. On the groom’s table was a picture of the bride and groom’s tailgating group.
For keepsakes of the day, the bride and groom provided a photo booth for guests to create their own special mementos.
Prior to the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Faculty Club in Baton Rouge.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Berwick High School and a 2008 graduate of Louisiana State University with a major in Spanish and a minor in Business Administration. She is currently a learning strategist for Shaw Environmental and Infrastructure Group.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of DeRidder High School and a 2003 graduate of LSU with a master’s degree in Accounting. He is a CPA and is an assistant controller for Hornbeck Offshore.
They honeymooned in Antigua and reside in Cuidad del Carmen of Campeche, Mexico.
