A memorial service to celebrate the life of Emile Louis Boudreaux II will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at 11 a.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary. Louis was a native and lifelong resident of Franklin, who passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, at his home. He was 58. The Rev. Bobby Hodnett will officiate the service.

Louis was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. He worked for the Franklin Fire Department for 24 years and was a member of the Civil Service Commission. He was also a former member of the Franklin Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Iris Dianne Boudreaux; three sons, Christopher Boudreaux, Brent Boudreaux and Ryan Boudreaux; one stepson, Kevin Gulsby and his wife, Jennifer; one stepdaughter, Crystal Wilbur and her husband, Sabin; three grandchildren, Joslyn Boudreaux, and Mallory and Carter Wilbur; four brothers, Robin Boudreaux Sr. and his wife, Kathy, John Boudreaux, Clay Boudreaux and Troy Boudreaux and his wife, Angela; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile Louis Boudreaux Sr. and Doris Murrell Boudreaux; and one nephew, Jeremy Joseph Boudreaux.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at Ibert’s Mortuary from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.

The family would like to thank Mayor Raymond Harris, Rep. Sam Jones, the employees of the City of Franklin, the Franklin Fire Department, as well as neighboring fire departments, and all who participated in the benefit for Louis, and all those who helped in so many ways over the past several years.
