Early voting climbs to 22 in St. Mary

With another 37 voters on Tuesday, the total for the early voting period has climbed to 222.

The registrar’s office at the courthouse in Franklin saw 20 voters Tuesday, while 17 cast ballots in Morgan City. There were 38 voters on Monday, 29 voters on Saturday, and 118 mailed ballots received before the early voting period opened.

The March 24 primary, for which voting is ongoing, features on the ballot Democratic and Republican presidential candidates and a Republican state committee member.

The early voting period continues through Saturday. Voters may go to either registrar’s offices, at the courthouse in Franklin or 301 Third St. in Morgan City.
