The local ballot will contain two issues:
—A 12-year, 0.3 percent sales and use tax by the City of Morgan City for the purpose of street repair and overlay throughout the city.
—A constitutional amendment that would prevent new taxes and fees on the sale of real estate.
Office hours for early voting are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday through Nov. 12. The Registrar of Voters office will be closed Sunday as usual, and Friday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day.
Early voting will be conducted at both Registrar of Voters offices — the third floor of the courthouse in Franklin or at 301 Third St. in Morgan City. Absentee voters may vote at either location regardless of their residency.
