Acknowledging consistently high standards of patient care across multiple services lines, Franklin Foundation Hospital is being awarded Avatar International’s 2011 Innovation Award – Honorable Mention.

Each year, hospitals and health systems are invited by Avatar to submit innovative and unique ideas that have been implemented to improve their patient’s experiences. The initiatives must be effective, scalable and novel. An independent committee reviews all submissions and the top scorers receive honors at the appropriate level.
Franklin Foundation Hospital received the Avatar award based upon their significant increase in patient satisfaction scores. “This past year we have significantly improved our discharge information scores from 75.87 percent to 88.28 percent between 2010 and 2011. This improvement increased our percentile ranking in discharge information from the seventh percentile in 2010 to the eighty-fourth percentile in 2011,” said Parker Templeton.
Franklin Foundation Hospital’s overall inpatient satisfaction scores are at the ninety-fifth percentile for hospitals in the Avatar database. Patient’s scored Communication with Doctors at the ninety-eighth percentile and Pain Management at the ninety-ninth percentile.
