FLORENCE YELLING

Florence Yelling, 85, a resident of Baldwin and native of Charenton, died Monday, November 14, 2011 at her residence, at 7 p.m.

Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 26 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Charenton, from 10 a.m. until funeral at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Florence leaves to cherish her memory six sons, Horace (Lavern) Yelling of Houston, Texas, Raywood (Emma) Yelling of Franklin, Mark (Denise) Yelling of Jeanerette, Wayne Yelling Sr. of New Iberia, Herbert (Lorraine) Yelling of Charenton and Edward Yelling of Baldwin; four daughters, Lillie (Israel) Washington Sr., Ellener (Dave) Peters Sr., Florence (Nelson) Lightfoot and Joyce Freeman, all of Franklin; she reared two nieces, Marylyn Randle and great niece, Mary Louise Randle; four grandchildren, Horatio Yelling of Beaumont, Texas, Isreal Washington Jr. of Bakertown, Coratio Y. Byrd of Atlanta, Georgia and Iris Garretta of Franklin; three sisters, Selena Alexander and Leona Randle, both of Charenton and Irene Randle of Morgan City; 39 grandchildren; 93 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; 25 foster children; 13 great foster grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah Randle and Josephine Wood Randle and her husband, Horace Yelling Jr.
