Frederick M. Ayers Jr., 69, a native of Columbus, Ohio and resident of Verdunville, died Monday, February 6, 2012 at 12:45 p.m., at Teche Regional Medical Center.
Memorial service will be Saturday, February 11, at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin, at 11 a.m.
Frederick was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Frederick leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Edna Elair Ayers of Verdunville; four sons, Scott Sorapuru of Covington, Rodney Elair and Jamal Ayers, both of Franklin, and Muhammad (Diane LaRae) Ayers of Atlanta, Georgia; three daughters, Mrs. Phillip (Angela) Metoyer of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Phillip A. (Mara Ayers) Braziel of Atlanta, Georgia and Mrs. Clay (Saajida-Yaasmeen) Leon IV of New Orleans; one brother, Charles Ayers of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
