Details remain sketchy, but initial reports indicate the fire started at approximately 1 a.m. and several local fire departments were on scene until 6:30 a.m. extinguishing the blaze that destroyed the kitchen and an upstairs office. The dining room received major smoke and water damage.
The Landry family plans to reopen the restaurant as soon as repairs are made, reports indicate.
The restaurant has been open over the course of three generations of the family.
