Fishing lecture set for Tuesday

Acadiana Fly Rodders, of Lafayette, Louisiana, will sponsor a series of five free lectures for its members and the public on fly fishing in salt water for speckled trout, redfish, flounder and other denizens of the deep.

The five lecture series will begin with a presentation on “Fishing for Speckled Trout in the Fall” Tuesday, Oct 2 at 6:30 p.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church on Roselawn Boulevard, Lafayette, Louisiana.

The lectures will be presented by Pete Cooper, Jr., well-known outdoor writer, author, fly fisherman and member of the Louisiana Sportsman’s Hall of Fame on tackle, flies, equipment and techniques.

Subsequent lectures on fishing for other fish species, tackle rigging and near shore gulf fishing and techniques are scheduled at the same time and place on the first Tuesday of the month of November and the months of March, April and May.
