IOTA ETA OMEGA CHAPTER of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. recently held a Political Action Forum for candidates for sheriff of St. Mary Parish. The event was help at Broussard-Harris Recreation Center in Franklin. The audience was enlightened by comments from the two candidates in attendance and had an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentation. Mayor Raymond Harris extended a welcome from the city and Rev. Allen R. Randle Sr. of Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church provided the invocation.
