Frances “Fran” Stockdill, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, born July 3, 1956, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013, at her residence in Morgan City.

Fran is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Harry Stockdill; her son, Harry “Trey” Stockdill III and his wife, Abby; and her daughter, Brittany Stockdill and her fiancé, Lonie Dupre Jr.; her sister-in-law, Lynn Crappell; and three nephews, James Carl Davis, Thomas Eldon Davis III and Gerald Lynn Davis.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Eldon Davis; her mother, Mildred Vining Davis; and one nephew, John Allan Davis.

Fran was an avid gardener who enjoyed growing roses. Fran was someone who was able to get along with everyone. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

A time of reflection and remembrance will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2013, from 6 to 10 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City.

Visitation will resume at Hargrave Funeral Home on Thursday, March 14, 2013, from 8 a.m. until time of services. Funeral services for Fran will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City with graveside services following in the Morgan City Cemetery.
