THE FRANKLIN LINE DANCERS celebrated their seventh anniversary on Thursday, September 22. The St. Mary Parish Council on Aging began line dancing for seniors at the Franklin Senior Center on September 22, 2004. The dancers celebrated the occasion by visiting the Fairfax House in Franklin. The group also enjoyed a lunch from Subway at the home of Dianne Louviere. Eleven of the original dancers attended the anniversary activities. The Franklin Line Dancers would like to thank the St. Mary Parish Council on Aging for providing dancing for the past seven years. Dancing is held at the Franklin Senior Center on Iberia Street on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A beginner’s class will begin in the near future. For further information, call the Senior Center at 828-1210.
