Franklin residents visit Paris

SEVERAL LOCAL STUDENTS and area residents recently participated in a trip to France. Franklin High School Teacher Candice Grivet organized the 10-day trip that included Paris and the Eiffel Tower, Champs-Elysées, Arc de Triomphe, the Le Louvre Museum, cathedrals Chartres, Notre Dame Cathedral, Rouen Cathedral, the Loire Valley and its fabulous castles such as Versailles, Chambord, Chenonceau and Amboise. Participants visited and dined at troglodyte dwellings, the Mont St. Michel and toured St. Malo in Brittany. They also visited the D-Day beaches of Normandy, the American Cemetery and the Caen War Memorial. Another trip to France, Spain, Italy and the Vatican is planned for June 2014.
