Gus Bowie Jr., 81, a resident of Baldwin and a native of Calumet, La. died Monday, February 4, 2013, at 11:20 p.m., at Dauterive Hospital.

Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 11 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Baldwin, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Gus leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Ezora Reed Bowie of Baldwin; two sons, Gus Bowie III of Jeanerette and Gregory Bowie of Baldwin; two daughters, Demis Romar of Baldwin and Donika Bowie of Jeanerette; one adopted daughter, Destiny Bowie of Baldwin; two brothers, Alton Lewis of Franklin and McKinley Bowie of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Drucella Bowie of Berwick, Janie Bowie and Geraldine Bowie, both of Franklin; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
