According to the Sheriff’s Office, the 15-year-old from Patterson was arrested Thursday after deputies at the parish jail found marijuana inside a Bible at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville.
She was charged with distribution of marijuana and introduction of contraband into a penal institution.
The girl was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
