On June 18, a burglary was reported at a residence on Bessie Street in Patterson. The victim, a collector, returned from travel to discover that his home had been burglarized. Among the items missing were more than three dozen rare and antique guns, some of which date back to the Civil War era.
Among the stolen firearms are six World War I-era Lugers and eight Colt model 1851 Navy revolvers. Anyone who may have seen these rare guns or have information on the crime, which occurred between June 14-18, contact the SMPSO detectives division at 384-1622.
