Henry Thomas Jr., 66, a native of Shadyside and a resident of Baldwin, died Thursday, January 19, 2012, at 4:07 a.m., at Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia.
Visitation will be at Jones Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, Jan. 25, from 9 a.m. until funeral at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Nazarene Cemetery in Verdunville.
Henry was a veteran of the United States Army.
Henry leaves to cherish his memories one son, Shaun Thomas of Baldwin; one daughter, Leslie Faye Thomas of Austin, Texas; six brothers, Wayne “Joyce” Thomas and Rickey “Debra” Thomas, both of Verdunville, Harry Lee Thomas of St. Martinville, Carl Ray Hawkins of Verdunville, John Hawkins of Texas and Ron Hawkins; three sisters, Jean B. Darby of Verdunville, Margaret F. Coleman and Greta Gibson, both of Baldwin; three grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
