Herbert Jones Sr., 86, a native and resident of Morgan City, died Sunday, January 8, 2012, at 5:10 p.m., at his daughter’s residence in Morgan City.
Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 14 at Church of Christ on Railroad Ave., from 10 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Greenwoods Cemetery.
Herbert leaves to cherish his memories three sons, Herbert Jones Jr. of Bayou Vista, Lloyd M. Jones and Troy L. Jones, both of Morgan City; nine daughters, Tessie Brown, Rose Harvey and Sandra Jones, all of Patterson, Wanda (Henry) Brown, Mary Jones, Gwendolyn Jones, Tena (Troy) Jones and Gina (Clemous) Mingo, all of Morgan City, Constance Jones of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Charles Jones and Clarence Jones Sr., both of Morgan City; three sisters, Geraldine Morse, Myrtle Lee Bergeron and Edwina Jones, all of Morgan City; 46 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
