La Fête d’Ecologie made its debut at Morgan City's Lake End Park Saturday. The free environmental festival celebrates everything that makes up the culture of the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary, located between the Mississippi and Atchafalaya rivers in Louisiana. Visitors enjoyed food, music, folk life demonstrations, a cast net contest and received educational materials from governmental agencies. La Fete is an annual festival made possible through the Barataria-Terrebonne Estuary Foundation and the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program (BTNEP).
