Hanson Memorial Tigers play tonight; West St. Mary hosts St. Thomas Friday

HANSON MEMORIAL SENIOR TAYLOR BARRILLEAUX will lead the Tigers into action tonight in the State Class 1-A bidistrict playoffs tonight at St. John of Plaquemine at 7 p.m. ON FRIDAY, the West St. Mary Wolfpack will play host to St. Thomas Aquinas at in the State Class 2-A bidistrict playoffs.

The Hanson Memorial High School Tigers and the West St. Mary Wolfpack earned berths in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association playoffs as a result of seeding meeting Sunday.

Hanson Memorial will open State Class A bidistrict playoff action tonight by traveling to face the St. John of Plaquemines Eagles at 7 p.m. at Plaquemines High School Stadium.

West St. Mary will play host to St. Thomas Aquinas of Hammond on Friday at Wolfpack Stadium.

HMS AT ST. JOHN

Hanson Memorial, which is the 22nd seed, will travel to play the No. 11 seed St. John tonight at 7 in Plaquemine in the State Class A bidistrict playoffs.

Hanson posted a sparkling 7-3 won-loss record on the season. HMS rolled over the Gueydan Bears by a 46-14 in last Friday’s season finale.

St. John of Plaquemines also finished with a 7-3 overall record on the season.

The Hanson Tigers will travel to battle the St. John of Plaquemine Eagles in the State Class 1-A bidistrict playoffs tonight at 7 in Plaquemines.

ST. THOMAS AQUINAS AT WSM

The West St. Mary Wolfpack will play host to St. Thomas Aquinas in the State Class 2-A bidistrict playoffs Friday at 7 p.m. at Wolfpack Stadium.

West St. Mary, the No. 15 seed, will host St. Thomas Aquinas of Hammond, which drew the No. 18 seed.

West St. Mary finished the season with a 6-4 overall mark while St. Thomas Aquinas posted a 5-5 season.

West St. Mary will host St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday in the State Class 2-A playoffs Friday at Wolfpack Stadium at 7 p.m.
