The bride is the daughter of Mr. Crandall B. Haydel and Mrs. Robbi Lynn Naquin, of Franklin, Louisiana. She is the granddaughter of the late Sitges Paul and Verdi Bolner Haydel, and Mrs. Beverly Dupre Concienne and the late Charles Ray Concienne, Sr., all of Franklin, Louisiana. Kayla graduated from Hanson Memorial High School in 2003, completed her bachelor of science degree in 2007 at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and obtained her master of science degree in 2010 from Louisiana State University. Kayla is employed with the LSU Agricultural Center as a youth development agent for Acadia parish.
The groom is the son of Kent L. and Cindy LeBlanc Segura, of Broussard, Louisiana. He is the grandson of Mrs. Madge LeBlanc LeBlanc and the late Nedier Joseph Leblanc, Jr. of Delcambre, and the late Ulysse J. and Pearly Viltz Segura of New Iberia, Louisiana. Marcus graduated from St. Thomas More High School in 2004, and obtained a bachelor of science degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2010. Marcus is the owner and operator of Green Head Lawn Solutions in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a stunning strapless gown embellished with antique lace and intricate crystal beading. The Empress taffeta gown featured a sweetheart neckline and a beautiful silhouette that gracefully swept into a sensational asymmetrical train. The bride wore a fingertip veil trimmed in satin and lovely white Dendrobium orchids in her hair.
The bride carried a bouquet of white antique roses and Asiatic lilies accented with blue iris and fuchsia stock. The stems of her bouquet were wrapped with a rosary that once belonged to her grandmother.
Maid of honor was Jill Adams and matron of honor was Marlene Haydel Breaux. Bridesmaids were Tanya Haydel, Erin Maturin, Keeley Moss, Breezy Louviere, Traci Martin, Tesha Landry Henderson and Kerry Lantier Montz. Trinity and Sydney Wheeler served as junior flower girls, and Carolee Haydel served as flower girl.
Billy Davenport and Trey Landry served as best men. Groomsmen were Torrey Haydel, Brad Breaux, Andrew Ashbey, Bret Stucker, Tyler Walters, Lance Hopson, Tyler Redd and Jordan Musso. Ring bearer was Braden Thompson Ashbey.
After a night of dining and dancing at a reception held at The Lamp Post, in Franklin, the groom surprised his lovely bride with a honeymoon trip to Jamaica. Marcus and Kayla will reside in Lafayette, Louisiana.
