Santa Claus made an early appearance in Patterson Sunday afternoon, and he did it with a little South Louisiana flair — he rode in a boat being pulled along a parade route. The parade, sponsored by the Patterson Knights of Columbus, began at Place Norman Shopping Center and ran down La. 182 to Patterson High School. The parade’s grand marshal was Hugh C. Brown Jr., and the parade lieutenant was Landon Lightfoot.
