St. Mary Parish is doing some regular maintenance repair work on a section of roadway in Bayou Vista at Southeast Boulevard and Columbus Avenue. A sinkhole was developing there, which was becoming a hazard. Project engineer George Mikhael said today the work is almost complete, and the barricades will be removed for regular traffic flow in a few days.
