Holy Cross Parish is constructing a new rectory for its clergy near Poplar and Cedar streets. While the project is among multiple projects that are being constructed on the campuses of Holy Cross and Central Catholic High schools, the Rev. Danny Poché of Holy Cross said the rectory is not part of the Vision 2012 capital campaign. Instead, the project, estimated to cost $330,000, is being funded through Holy Cross Parish. The new rectory, which is being built to house two priests, is needed because the old one will be converted into church offices after Aidan Hall is demolished this spring to make way for another component of the Vision 2012 project: a spiritual life center. The current church offices are in Aidan Hall. Morgan’s Construction in Patterson is building the rectory. It is expected to be complete in April along with a new library and classrooms that are being constructed as part of the Vision 2012 project.
