Special activities are planned Friday at Hanson Memorial High School in observance of Coach Richard McCloskey’s death 25 years ago. There will be a Rosary at noon at the Church of Assumption, a pregame meal served at the school at 5 p.m. and a presentation at halftime of the Tigers game against the Gueydan Bears. McCloskey is the winningest high school football coach in Louisiana. During his 38-year career at Hanson his record was 286-141-6 and he coached 21 teams into the state playoffs. His 1976 team won the Class A state title with a 13-2 record. He was inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in 2003.
