The newest member of the Patterson City Council was sworn in during a special meeting Wednesday. Charles Sawyer replaces his wife, Claire Sawyer, who passed away earlier this month after suffering a brain aneurysm. Charles Sawyer will serve until an election is held in November to find a permanent replacement for the seat. Swearing in Sawyer is Justice of the Peace Frank Cali.
