Ida Mae Brooks, 86, a native of Memphis, Tenn., and a resident of Patterson, died at 7:25 a.m. Jan. 26 at her residence.

Visitation will be Saturday at Good Hope Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Shield Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Gant of Patterson; four daughters, Crystal Gant and Lisa Darnall, both of Patterson, Juanita Brooks of Houston, and Linda Gant of Franklin; three brothers, Leroy Gant of Patterson, and Calvin Gant and Eddie Gant, both of Chicago; four sisters, Hattie Porter, Pearlie Howze and Debra Gant, all of Memphis, Tenn., and Carolyn Gant of Texas; 22 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father, her mother, a grandson, nine sisters, nine brothers and five children,.
