He served his country in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by two sons, Ivan Joseph Jones of Morgan City and James “Jamie” Jones of Costa Rica; one daughter, Cheryl Roy of Bayou Vista; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Monday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Morgan City Cemetery. The East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad will conduct full military honors.
