Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at 7 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin for Jean Joseph Rassat, 64, a native of Convent and a longtime resident of Centerville, who passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011, at his home. Deacon Mike Webb will officiate the services.
Jean was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting, fishing and going to the camp.
Survivors include his daughter, Ashlea Rassat, and his granddaughter, London Rassat of Patterson; two brothers, Donnie and Phil Sinitiere, both of New Iberia; and one sister, Cathy Black of Hollywood, Florida.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Hallea Rassat; his father, Felix Rassat; his mother, Dorothy Borel Rassat Sinitiere; and his stepfather, Calvin Sinitiere.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, December 27 at Ibert’s Mortuary, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to help alleviate funeral expenses.
