John Henry “Charles” Malveaux, a resident of Bayou Vista and a native of Rosa, La., died Monday, March 11, 2013 at his residence at 6:50 p.m.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 23, at New Zorah Baptist Church, 604 Julia St., Morgan City, from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
He was a hard worker and maintained employment at Conrad in Amelia.
“Charles” leaves to cherish his memories his three sons, John (Kim) Davis Sr. and Johnell (Melissa) Williams both of Bayou Vista, and Jeremy Williams of Abbeville; one stepson, Nicholas Williams of Abbeville; one stepdaughter, Vicki Williams of Abbeville; four sisters, Mary Lou Brown and Mrs. Larry (Jeanette) Green, both of Morgan City, Mrs. Robert (Shirley Mae) Alfred of Patterson, and Betty Delco of Lafayette; five brothers, Hayward Malveaux Jr. of Dallas, Texas, Joseph Malveaux of Lafayette, Floyd Malveaux of Cottonport, Calvin (Tawana) Malveaux of Baton Rouge and Caston Malveaux of Bayou Vista; nine grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; and eight step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
