John Hunt, 56, a native of Franklin and a resident of Verdunville, died Sunday, February 24, 2013, at 4:57 p.m., at his residence.

Visitation will be Friday, March 1 at First Church of God in Christ, 407 MLK, in Jeanerette, from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.

John leaves to cherish his memories a son, Jonathan Alexander of Jeanerette; a brother, Donald Ray Hunt of Franklin; three sisters, Mrs. Clements (Lois) Williams and Wanda Fay Hunt, both of Franklin and Ann Hunt of Verdunville; one grandchild; and a host of relatives and friends.

John was preceded in death by his father, his mother and two brothers.
