Joseph Anthony Lajaunie Sr., 80, a native of Bayou Sale and resident of Thibodaux, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012.

Visitation was held Monday, Nov. 5 at Landry’s Funeral Home in Thibodaux, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Mass followed at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Fournet Lajaunie; his sons, Joseph Lajaunie Jr., Devon Lajaunie and wife, Stacie, John Lajaunie and wife, Shelly, and Brent Lajaunie and his wife, Tiffoney; his younger brother, John Lajaunie Jr.; and seven grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Benjamin, Nicholas, Joshua, Bryce and Matthew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Effie Lajaunie; his sisters, Kathryn Hefner, Marie Walker and Juanita Boudreaux.

Landry’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
