BATON ROUGE – Former LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson will be on probation for one year and do less than a week of community service in a misdemeanor case stemming from a bar fight last year.

He pleaded no contest on Wednesday to simple battery in the Aug. 19, 2011 fight involving several other LSU players.

Jefferson was arrested last week on a marijuana charge along with three other former LSU players.

District Judge Chip Moore on Wednesday imposed a sentence in the 2011 case of a year's supervised probation and 30 hours community service.

Arraignment on last week's arrest is scheduled for December.
